Product Description
Woven gabion baskets are rectangular boxes constructed from double or triple twist hexagonal steel mesh fabric made from galfan wire or PVC-coated wire. These durable structures are designed for various demanding applications including retaining walls, fencing, and channel linings.
Corrosion Protection & Construction
The wire mesh is manufactured from soft annealed mild steel wire with heavy zinc coating per EN 10244/ASTM A 641 standards. For enhanced corrosion resistance, an additional 0.5mm thick PVC coating is extruded over the galvanized wire, with UV stabilization compliant with ASTM A 975.
Selvedge/edge wire, which is thicker and heavier, reinforces the edges and transverse diaphragms, providing greater rigidity and maintaining the structural shape of the gabion basket.
