Application
 

There is only one J1939 diagnostic port in a truck. If you want to connect two devices with J1939 port to the truck at the same time, this Deutsch 9 Pin J1939 Split Y Cable is needed. It can connect ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices, such as Cummins ZED, Garmin eLog or KeepTruckin ELD), diagnostic devices or scanners or fault code readers to the truck.

This Deutsch 9 Pin J1939 Split Y Cable allows port relocation or connection of multiple devices. This Y cable is for heavy duty commercial vehicles (such as some Freightliner Cascadias and others) that have the J1939 9 pin diagnostic port adjacent to the clutch pedal or in some other inconvenient location. It is also for commercial vehicles that require multiple devices be connected to the J1939 9 pin diagnostic port. This cable allows the J1939 diagnostic port to be split, with one port going to the original location and the other going to an ELD or another device which has a J1939 port.

This cable can be used in most diesel trucks such as Kenworth, International, Freightliner, Isuzu, Hino, Mack, Peterbilt, Oshkosh, Sterling, Volvo, Workhorse, Navistar and Western Star.
