We made plastic molds of the J1939 Deutsch 9 pin, OBD2 OBDII J1962 and J1708 Deutsch 6 pin connectors, sockets, plugs, receptacles by ourselves. 20AWG pure copper quality wires are employed to manufacture these cables. We can always make the cables with excellent connectivity and durability.

The end of Deutsch 9-Pin J1939 male connector can be overmolded or not, according to your needs.

The Deutsch 9 Pin J1939 male connector is Type 1, so its Pin F is with bigger diameter. Type 1 or Type 2 J1939 9-Pin female sockets can be inserted into Type 1 J1939 9-Pin male receptacles.

The pin assignment or pin out can also be customized according to your needs. If there is no need for more pins to be wired, we suggest we just connect the necessary pins you need. If more pins are connected, the price of the cable will be higher because the raw material and labour cost will be higher.
 
 
Application
 
This cable will connect the 8 or 9 Pin GREEN type 2 OR 8 or 9 pin BLACK round style device such as ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices) to the 16 Pin OBD2 style diagnostic port on Volvo and Mack trucks post 2013 that have the OBD2 port in dash.
 
If you have a device that is designed to plug into the round Black or Green 9 pin diagnostics port on heavy trucks this cable will work for you to connect that device to 16 pin OBD2 type connector found in 2013 and newer Volvo and Mack trucks.
 
You can connect 16 pin OBD2 male plug of this cable into your truck's 16 pin diagnostics port. The black 9 pin on other end will then accept some ELDs that have the round 8 OR 9 position plugs.
 
This cable also allows a J1939 Scan Tool (a scanner designed to plug into the round J1939 9-pin Deutsch connector on a vehicle) to be used with a J1939 equipped vehicle that uses a standard OBD2 style connector.
