FEP and PFA ® type Fluoropolymers (plastics) offer excellent chemical and temperature resistance, but lack the resiliency of elastomers (rubber) required to maintain a quality seal. Encapsulated O Rings Telfon, Silicone and Encapsulated O-Rings with FEP or PFA are designed to address the growing problem of sealing in the most hostile chemical and temperature environments.

The ® shell offers excellent chemical and temperature resistance, while the Silicone or core provides the resiliency needed to provide effective sealing. FKM core also provides increased chemicals and compression set resistance resulting in longer lasting sealing in some applications.
