With the increasing demand of electronic products for small, light, thin and high reliability, only the precise mount of fine spacing components can ensure the reliability of surface assembly mount. To accurately mount fine spacing components, generally consider the following factors.
- PCB positioning error. in general, the circuit graphics on the PCB do not always correspond to the machining holes and PCB edges that PCB the mechanical positioning, which will lead to mount errors. Furthermore, defects such as distortion, PCB deformation and warpage on the PCB will cause mount error.
- component centering error. the center line of the component itself does not always correspond to the center line of all leads, so when the mount system uses the mechanical centering claw to center the component, it does not necessarily ensure that the center line of all leads of the component is aligned. In addition, in the packaging container, or in the centering claw clamping centering, the component lead may appear bending, distortion and lap defects, that is, the lead loss coplanarity. These problems will lead to a decrease in mount error and mount reliability. the surface mount is successful when the component lead deviates from the pad by no more than 25% of the lead width, and the allowable deviation is smaller when the lead spacing is narrower.
- motion error of the machine itself. The mechanical factors affecting the precision of the patch are: the motion accuracy of the X-Y axis of the patch head or the PCB positioning table, the precision of the centering mechanism of the components and the precision of the patch. The visual system becomes an important part of the high precision placement machine.
