Custom Stainless Steel and Bearing Steel Balls with Threaded Holes

EB supplies custom balls with threaded holes in stainless steel and in bearing steel. These are separate material options for individual parts, not different names for one material.

Specify the material for each order line

For a stainless steel enquiry, provide the complete stainless steel designation and applicable specification. For a bearing steel enquiry, identify the required designation, such as AISI 52100, GCr15, JIS SUJ2 or 100Cr6, together with the applicable specification. Do not treat these bearing steel names as stainless steel grades or assume that a substitute is approved without review.

Define the ball and threaded features

• Provide the finished ball diameter, tolerance and any required accuracy grade.
• Specify the thread system, size, pitch, thread depth, hole arrangement and whether a hole is blind or through.
• Identify the required material condition, hardness acceptance criteria, surface finish and inspection documents for that particular part.

Drawing-based enquiry

Include the drawing revision, quantity, application and delivery requirements. Confirm material, manufacturing scope and inspection criteria before ordering. The same hardness, density or dimensional range is not asserted for every stainless steel and bearing steel option.
