A valve body casting enquiry needs a defined drawing, material and acceptance basis. State whether the requested supply is a casting blank or a machined body; neither description establishes a complete valve assembly.

Define the pressure boundary and interfaces

• Attach the controlled body drawing and material specification.
• Identify ports, threads, flanges, seating features and machining datums.
• List applicable inspection and test requirements, including purchaser-specified acceptance criteria.

Keep service requirements separate from product claims

Provide the intended fluid, pressure and temperature information for review. These conditions are requirements to evaluate, not a pressure rating or compatibility guarantee for an unspecified casting.

Information to include with your enquiry

Ask the quotation to identify the proposed casting route, machining scope, documentation and exclusions. Do not assume casting, stamping and die casting are equivalent, or that testing a casting demonstrates compliance of a complete valve assembly.
