Custom Brass and Bronze Sleeve Bushings

A sleeve bushing enquiry starts with the mating shaft and housing. Send the component drawing and the required brass or bronze specification so the quotation can identify the part, its interfaces and delivery condition.

Define the shaft and housing interfaces

• Show the finished bore, outside diameter and overall length on the same drawing revision.
• Identify shoulders, grooves, cross-holes and chamfers, including their positions.
• Specify the required fits and surface finish at the shaft and housing interfaces.

State the lubrication arrangement

Describe how the assembly is lubricated and provide the available operating information. Do not treat different brass and bronze grades as interchangeable, or assume that an unspecified sleeve is self-lubricating.

Information to include with your enquiry

The quotation should distinguish the agreed alloy and finished dimensions from any proposed alternative. Include quantity, inspection requirements and whether a sample must be reviewed before the production order.
