Tin Bronze Bushings and Machined Sleeves
For a tin bronze bushing or sleeve, name the required alloy and supply the finished drawing. This gives the quotation a defined material and dimensional basis instead of a general copper-alloy description.
Define the finished component
- Provide bore diameter, outside diameter, length and any stepped or flanged features.
- Identify the shaft and housing fits and required surface finish.
- Show lubrication grooves, holes and their locations relative to the drawing datums.
Keep grade designations traceable
Include the applicable material specification and revision. If a supplier proposes another designation, ask for the differences and obtain approval before substitution; similar trade names do not establish equivalence.
Information to include with your enquiry
State the required inspection records, quantity and delivery condition. Confirm the lubrication arrangement and available operating information for review, rather than assuming a load, speed or service-life rating from the material family.
