Flanged Bronze Bushings to Drawing

A flanged bronze bushing needs more definition than its bore and length. Include the flange and sleeve geometry so the proposed part can be checked against its mating assembly.

Dimension the flange and sleeve together

• Provide bore diameter, sleeve outside diameter and overall length.
• Show flange diameter, flange thickness and the datum used to locate the flange face.
• Identify grooves, reliefs, chamfers and any holes that affect assembly.

Separate material and dimensional requirements

State the exact bronze designation and applicable purchasing specification. If aluminum bronze is required, name that grade explicitly; the word bronze alone does not define the material.
