Custom aluminum alloy round shaft sleeves and bushings are supplied against the agreed part definition. The drawing determines the bore, outside diameter, length and fit for the intended shaft or housing.

Prepare the round sleeve drawing

• Show the inside and outside diameters, overall length and any shoulders or grooves.
• Mark the mating surfaces and specify the required fits and geometric tolerances.
• Identify edge details, finish requirements and inspection dimensions for the ordered part.

Material and surface requirements

Specify the alloy grade, delivery condition and finish for each component. Surface treatment must be agreed for that material and the mating interface. A title referring to wear resistance or durability does not establish a universal service life, hardness or operating limit.

Dimensions and inspection

Identify critical dimensions, fits and geometric tolerances on the approved drawing. Inspection methods, sampling and required records should be agreed for the order. The quotation does not rely on one blanket micron-level tolerance for every diameter, length and material.

Send the part drawing with revision, quantity, intended assembly, material specification and delivery destination. Include mating-part details where the fit is important. State any requested material documents or inspection reports so they can be included in the agreed supply scope.
