321 Stainless steel - it is titanium stabilized stainless steel grade from the austenitic family. It has the higher corrosion resistance ability and phenomenal resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range in temperature up to 427 deg C to 816 deg C. it has excellent oxidation resistance to 1500 deg F. moreover, it is known for higher stress to rupture and creep strength. 321 alloys have good low temperature properties and toughness.
Stainless steel 321H- It has a higher carbon content of about 0.04 to 0.10%. It is developed to offer resistance to creep and higher strength up to 537 deg C. in most cases alloy meets the dual certification. SS 321H alloy can only be hardened by cold working operations, not by heat treatment operation. It is effectively welded and manufactured by standards machines.
