Product Discription:
S32906 stainless steel is a new type of super duplex stainless steel, which is further improved on the basis of 2507 duplex steel. Compared with 2507 dual phase steel, this steel reduces the molybdenum and chromium content, and its pitting resistance equivalent is slightly lower than that of 2507 dual phase steel, but its composition is more balanced and its thermal stability is improved.
The feature of Duplex 32906:
Outstanding resistance to caustic environments, also in the presence of contaminants such as chlorides
Good resistance to intergranular corrosion
Excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion
High resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC)
Good weldability
Very high strength. The proof strength is about three times as high as for conventional austenitic stainless steel.
