EN 1.4436 Stainless Steel Tube Sch80S Intended For Pipelines
EN 1.4436 (X3CrNiMo17-13-3) stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel used for primary forming into forgings. The properties cited are applicable to solution annealing (AT) conditions. 1.4436 is the EN digital identifier for the material, while X3CrNiMo17-13-3 is the chemical name.
This grade features hydrogen addition based on 316 stainless steel, with carbon content at its upper limit. It is primarily used for heat resistance applications, offering superior thermal strength compared to non-molybdenum steels, along with excellent processability, weldability, and high-temperature oxidation resistance.
