EN 1.4845 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel used for the primary forming of forged products. The properties cited are applicable to solution annealing (AT) conditions. 1.4845 is the EN digital identifier for the material. X8CrNi25-21 is the chemical name for EN.
It has medium low conductivity in deformed austenitic stainless steel. In addition, it has a medium high base cost and a medium high contained energy.
There are many kinds of materials corresponding to 1.4845, such as 310S in the United States, SUS310S in Japan, and 1.4845/X8CrNi25-21 in Germany.
