Mirror Polish Sanitary Tube Welding for Food Processing
This specification covers grades of seamless and welded austenitic stainless steel sanitary tubing designed specifically for the dairy and food processing industries. These tubes feature special mirror-polished surface finishes and can be supplied with pharmaceutical-grade quality upon request.
Heat Treatment Requirements
All materials are supplied after heat treatment. The standard procedure involves heating to a minimum temperature of 1900°F (1040°C) followed by water quenching or rapid cooling. Exceptions apply to duplex stainless steel grades S31803, S32003, S320205, S32750, N08926, and N08367.
Comprehensive Quality Testing
100% PMI and Spectro Chemical Analysis for raw materials
Complete dimensional and visual examination
Mechanical properties testing including tension, flaring, flange, hardness, and reversed flattening tests
100% hydrostatic testing or non-destructive testing (ET/UT)
Radiographic testing for welded pipes
Optional testing: straightness, roughness, intergranular corrosion, impact, and grain size determination
All test and inspection results are documented in comprehensive reports according to A270 standard specifications.
