Metallurgical Structure
Inconel 718 features an austenitic structure with precipitation hardening that generates "γ" phase for excellent mechanical properties. Grain boundary formation of "δ" phase provides optimal plasticity during heat treatment.
Corrosion Resistance
Alloy 718 demonstrates exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting corrosion in both high and low temperature environments, with particularly strong oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures.
