The Tubular Stranding Machine 630/1+6 is a high-speed, torsion-free stranding system designed for manufacturers of prestressed concrete (PC) steel strand per ASTM A416 / A779, EN 10138, GB/T 5224 and ISO 6934-3. It lays six outer wires (wound on 630 mm bobbins carried inside the rotating tube) around a stationary central wire, producing the standard 1×7 strand structure used in post-tensioned and pre-tensioned concrete construction.

Because the pay-off reels rotate with the tube rather than counter-rotating, the machine imparts zero reverse twist to the individual wires. The result is a strand with uniform lay pitch, consistent diameter, low relaxation and excellent bond performance with concrete — the three properties that determine whether a strand passes tensile and stress-relaxation testing.
