Galvanized Metal Vertical Queen Excluder 47.5*33*1.4cm Size for Bee Hive Queen Board
This high-quality galvanized metal vertical queen excluder is designed for professional beekeeping applications. Crafted from durable materials, it effectively manages queen bee movement within the hive while ensuring long-lasting performance.
The queen excluder is an essential beekeeping tool typically constructed from bamboo or plastic. Its primary function is to restrict queen bee passage while allowing worker bees to move freely throughout the hive structure.
The excluder operates on the principle that the queen bee's thorax is slightly thicker than that of worker bees. The grid gap is precisely engineered to fall between these measurements, enabling worker bees to pass through while preventing the queen from crossing the barrier.
- Restricts queen bee movement to specific hive sections
- Enables formation of dual-queen colonies by preventing queen encounters
- Facilitates honey production by controlling queen egg-laying locations
- Prevents queen conflicts that could result in fatalities
