The KSD series thermostat operates on the principle of bimetal discs that snap into action when temperature changes occur. This snap action activates internal contacts to open or close the circuit. KSD301 Auto Reset vs Manual Reset Types
Manual Reset Type: Uses a bimetallic strip that disconnects at the action temperature. Requires manual reset button press (4-6N force) when temperature drops 20°C after snap action. Minimum 20.4mm clearance required between reset button and cover.
Auto Reset Type: Uses a bimetallic strip that automatically reconnects when temperature drops to the reset point.
