The KSD series thermostat operates on the principle of bimetal discs that snap into action when temperature changes occur. This snap action activates internal contacts to open or close the circuit. Key features include fixed working temperature, reliable snap action, minimal flashover, extended service life, and reduced radio interference.

Auto Reset vs Manual Reset Types
Manual Reset Type: Uses a bimetallic strip that disconnects at the action temperature. Requires manual reset by pressing a button after temperature decreases by 20°C. Requires 4-6N force for reset.
Auto Reset Type: Uses a bimetallic strip that automatically reconnects when temperature decreases to the reset point.
