The KSD series thermostat operates on the principle of bimetal discs that snap into action when temperature changes occur. This snap action activates internal contacts to open or close circuits. Key features include fixed working temperatures, reliable snap action, minimal flashover, long service life, and low radio interference.

KSD301 Auto Reset vs Manual Reset Types
Manual Reset Type: Uses bimetallic strip temperature sensing. When temperature reaches the action range, the disc jumps to disconnect. Requires manual reset button press (4-6N force) to reconnect after temperature drops 20°C. Ensure ≥20.4mm clearance between reset button and cover.
Auto Reset Type: Uses bimetallic strip that automatically resets when temperature drops to specified point, restarting operation without manual intervention.
