The KSD series thermostat operates on the principle of bimetal discs that snap into action when temperature changes occur. This snap action activates internal contacts to open or close circuits. Key features include fixed working temperatures, reliable snap action, minimal flashover, extended lifespan, and reduced radio interference.

KSD301 Auto Reset vs Manual Reset Types
Manual Reset Type: Uses bimetallic strip temperature sensing. When temperature reaches the action range, the disc snaps open. Requires manual reset button press (4-6N force recommended) after temperature drops 20°C to reconnect circuit.
Note: Ensure at least 20.4mm clearance between reset button and cover for proper function.
Auto Reset Type: Automatically reconnects when temperature drops to reset point without manual intervention.
