The KSD series thermostat operates on the principle of bimetal discs that snap into action when temperature changes occur. This snap action activates the internal contacts, either connecting or disconnecting the circuit. Key features include fixed working temperature settings, reliable snap action, minimal flashover, extended operational lifespan, and reduced radio interference.

KSD301 Auto Reset vs Manual Reset Types
Manual Reset Type
Temperature sensing components consist of bimetallic strip. When temperature reaches the action range, it snaps quickly and the movable disc disconnects. When temperature declines to a fixed point, the contact cannot reset automatically. The circuit must be reconnected by pushing the reset button to restore contact points and restart the circuit.
Important Notes:
- Manual reset thermostats can reset when temperature declines 20°C after snap action by pressing the reset button with 4-6 N force (avoid excessive strength)
- For normal function, maintain at least 20.4mm distance between reset button and close cover
Auto Reset Type
