The KSD series thermostat operates on the principle of bimetal discs that snap into action when temperature changes occur. This snap action activates the internal contacts, either completing or breaking the electrical circuit. Key features include fixed working temperature, reliable snap action, minimal flashover, extended lifespan, and reduced radio interference.

KSD301 Auto Reset vs Manual Reset Types
Manual Reset Type
The temperature sensing component consists of a bimetallic strip. When temperature reaches the action range, it snaps quickly to disconnect the circuit. The contacts remain disconnected until manually reset by pressing the reset button, even after temperature decreases.
Note: 1. This manual reset thermostat can be reset when temperature declines 20°C after snap action by pressing the reset button with 4~6 N force. 2. For proper function, maintain at least 20.4mm distance between reset button and close cover.
Auto Reset Type
The bimetallic strip disconnects the circuit when temperature reaches the action range. The contacts automatically reconnect when temperature decreases to the reset point.
