The KSD series thermostat operates on the principle of bimetal discs that snap into action with temperature changes. This snap action activates internal contacts to open or close circuits. KSD301 Auto Reset vs Manual Reset Types
Manual Reset Type: Uses bimetallic strip temperature sensing. When reaching action temperature, the disc disconnects and requires manual reset via button press after temperature decreases by 20°C (4-6N force recommended). Requires minimum 20.4mm clearance between reset button and cover.
Auto Reset Type: Uses bimetallic strip temperature sensing. Automatically resets and resumes operation when temperature decreases to specified point.
