The KSD series thermostat operates on the principle of bimetallic discs that snap into action when temperature changes occur. This snap action activates internal contacts to open or close circuits. Key features include fixed working temperatures, reliable snap action, minimal flashover, extended lifespan, and reduced radio interference.

KSD302 Auto Reset vs Manual Reset Types
Manual Reset Type: Uses bimetallic strip temperature sensing. When temperature reaches action range, contacts disconnect and require manual reset button press (4-6N force) after temperature declines 20°C. Requires minimum 20.4mm clearance between reset button and cover.
Auto Reset Type: Uses bimetallic strip temperature sensing. Contacts automatically reset when temperature declines to specified point without manual intervention.

Widely used for temperature control in household appliances including coffee pots, laminators, steam irons, warmers, water dispensers, and similar equipment.
