The KSD series thermostat operates on the principle of bimetallic discs that snap into action with temperature changes. This snap action activates internal contacts to open or close circuits. Key features include fixed working temperatures, reliable snap action, minimal flashover, extended lifespan, and reduced radio interference.

KSD301 Auto Reset vs Manual Reset Types
Manual Reset Type: Uses bimetallic strip that disconnects at action temperature. Requires manual button press to reset after temperature drops ~20°C (4-6N force recommended). Requires minimum 20.4mm clearance between reset button and cover.
Auto Reset Type: Automatically reconnects circuit when temperature drops to reset point without manual intervention.
