The KSD series thermostat operates on the principle of bimetal discs that snap into action when sensing temperature changes. This snap action activates the internal contacts, ultimately opening or closing the circuit. Key features include fixed working temperature, reliable snap action, minimal flashover, extended lifespan, and reduced radio interference.

KSD301 Reset Types
Manual reset type:
Uses bimetallic strip that disconnects at action temperature. Requires manual reset button press (4-6N force) after temperature drops 20°C. Requires minimum 20.4mm clearance between reset button and cover.
Auto reset type:
Uses bimetallic strip that automatically resets when temperature drops to reset point.
