The KSD series thermostat operates on the principle of bimetal discs that snap into action when temperature changes occur. This snap action activates the internal contacts, which then open or close the electrical circuit. Key features include fixed working temperatures, reliable snap action, minimal flashover, extended operational life, and reduced radio interference.

KSD301 Auto Reset vs Manual Reset Types

Manual Reset Type

Temperature sensing components consist of bimetallic strip
When temperature reaches the action range, the disc snaps quickly and disconnects
Contact points cannot reset automatically when temperature declines
Circuit reconnection requires manually pushing the reset button
Important: Reset occurs when temperature declines 20°C after snap action using 4-6N force
Important: Minimum 20.4mm distance required between reset button and close cover

Auto Reset Type
