This snap action activates the internal contacts, ultimately controlling circuit connections. KSD301 Auto Reset vs Manual Reset Types
Manual Reset Type: Temperature sensing components consist of bimetallic strip. When temperature reaches the action range, it snaps quickly and the movable disc disconnects. When temperature declines to a fixed point, contacts cannot reset until the reset button is pressed manually. This allows circuit reconnection and restart.
- Manual reset thermostats can reset when temperature declines 20°C after snap action by pressing reset button
- Recommended force: 4-6 N (avoid excessive strength)
- Ensure minimum 20.4mm distance between reset button and close cover for normal function
Auto Reset Type: Temperature sensing components consist of bimetallic strip. When temperature reaches the action range, it snaps quickly and the movable disc disconnects. When temperature declines to a fixed point, contacts automatically reset and resume operation.
