FAQ: What should I do if the high pressure pump fails? The flow rate in the fuel metering unit exceeds the threshold

Possible Causes:

1) The oil return of the injector is too high to cause high pressure leakage, and the high pressure leakage causes the flow rate in the metering valve to exceed the threshold value; 2) The pressure relief valve on the common rail tube causes high pressure leakage, and the high pressure leakage causes the flow rate in the metering valve to exceed the threshold value; ) The oil metering unit on the pump is working abnormally.

Troubleshooting method:

2) Measure whether the single-cylinder oil return of the injector is too large. If it is too large, the injector can be replaced for the external-injection injector. For internal fuel injectors, it is necessary to check: a. whether the high-pressure jumper pipe is in place; b. whether there is any scratch on the sealing taper between the fuel injector and the jumper pipe; c. the internal wear of the fuel injector is replaceable. 2) High-pressure fuel rail investigation:

Loosen the fuel rail pressure relief valve connector to see if there is oil. Normally there is no fuel spillage.
