FAQ: What should I do if the high pressure pump fails? Crankshaft and camshaft signal deviation exceeds threshold

ERIKC Answer: Fault phenomenon:

1) The system lamp/fault lamp is always on; 2) The engine is hard to start or cannot start; 3) The engine smokes; 4) The engine shakes or abnormal sound.

Possible Causes:

1) The offset of the crankshaft position or the mounting position of the ring gear; 2) The mounting position of the camshaft or camshaft drive gear is misaligned; 3) The oil pump driving gear is installed synchronously; 4) The crankshaft gear disc is in error.

Troubleshooting method:

1) Check the installation position of the crankshaft sensor or its installation distance with the camshaft sensor, and eliminate the signal interference (can use the oscilloscope to check the crankshaft position sensor signal); 2) Check the position of the engine mechanical synchronization, whether the flywheel gear tray defects.
