What is ESD Tape?
ESD tapes are designed for use where electrostatic discharge is a concern. Our anti-static tapes includes ESD safe clear cellulose tape with a rapid charge decay, transparent polyester film tape that generates extremely low charge levels when it is unwound or removed from most surfaces, as well as 3-layer conductive grid tape featuring a conductive grid middle layer with static dissipative material on both sides. Some are even printed with ESD-safe markings to more readily identify the presence of static-sensitive materials.
The ESD tape is a Polyimide film that has been coated with an anti-static silicone adhesive. The adhesive has been highly loaded with conductive particles in order to achieve the maximum static dissipation.
