Cleanroom suit and garments are worn over your normal clothes when you work inside of a critical environment like a clean room facility.

A cleanroom suit is very different than a normal protective suit that would be worn inside of a laboratory.

In order for any garment to be cleanroom-safe, it must actually be manufactured and packaged inside of a clean room. The reasoning behind this is that if your clean room garment was manufactured in an open area like a standard apparel sewing or manufacturing facility, thousands of particles, dust and possible bacterial contamination would make it’s way onto the products and then be introduced into your clean room as soon as you open and put on the cleanroom garment.

Even if a suit is packaged inside of a clean room but not actually manufactured and clean processed inside of a clean room, you will introduce contamination. This is the case at many new clean rooms, that have not had the proper guidance and training for working in a critical environment.
