The BW 160 Industrial Mud Pump is a reciprocating piston/plunger pump designed to circulate drilling fluid under high pressure (up to 7,500 psi) down the drill string and back up the annulus. • Fill suction pipe, bottom valve and pump body with water before starting
• Perform two piston reciprocations before starting with no load
• Test mud sand content frequently (should not exceed 10%)
• For multi-speed pumps, operate all speeds separately for ≥30 minutes per shift
• Never change speed during operation - stop pump for shifting
• Stop immediately for inspection if abnormal noise, pressure or temperature occurs
• For long-term shutdown, drain all mud/sand and apply anti-corrosion measures
