Application
Our slotting machines are designed to handle pipe sizes up to 7-12 inches in diameter and can manufacture lengths up to 46 feet at one time. This extremely rigid and stable equipment enables the pipe to be milled to precise tolerances, producing clean openings and consistent slot widths and lengths.
A unique hydraulic clamping system secures and straightens the casing without damaging the pipe or slots. Special high speed steel circular saws cut the slots. Continuous application of coolant maintains the pipe's metallurgical integrity. No excess metal is removed and maximum pipe strength is assured while staying within a specified open area.
All slotting machines are fitted with CNC indexing systems which ensures slots are placed exactly on the tubulars both radially and axially. This ensures that all specifications are achieved and maximum strength is maintained for installation.
