Self-closing steel fire doors provide essential fire separation protection for industrial buildings, designed to contain smoke and flames at critical building openings including firewalls, stairwells, and pipe shafts.

All Zhongwo steel fire doors undergo rigorous testing according to American standards NFPA252, ULC S104, UL10(b) and UL10(c). We provide UL/WHI certification for various sizes and fire ratings.

These fire doors achieve up to 180-minute fire ratings (20/30/60/90/150/180 minutes) meeting American standard requirements.
Construction Details
Materials
Standard construction uses 20-18-16 gauge galvanized steel sheet for sashes and 18-16-14 gauge for frames. Optional 304 and 301 stainless steel available for enhanced durability and appearance.
Core Infill
Standard fireproof perlite board with varying densities to match different fire ratings. Alternative options include mineral core, honeycomb paper, and polyethylene foam.
Dimensions
Popular sizes: 6'X7' for pair doors (maximum 8'X8'), 3'X7' for single doors (maximum 4'X8'). Custom sizes available upon request.
Glass Options
Features steel reinforcement channel, steel glass frame and glazing bead, UL listed glazing material. Maximum allowable glass area: 100 sq. in. per door leaf for 2-hour rated doors.
Surface Finishes
Standard powder coating with options for prime paint (water-based) and wood grain finishes.
