Description:
• Fire doors must be labeled with a fire test rating.
• The door rating is 3/4 of the surrounding wall rating.
• All fire extinguishers require labeled self-locking devices to strike. The dead bolt cannot be used as a substitute for a locking bolt.
• Fire doors must be self-closing.
• You must use steel ball bearing hinges. Bases such as brass and bronze cannot be used. Ordinary bearing hinges also cannot be used.
• If fire doors are left open, fire doors must be equipped with a registered / tested thermal response or electromagnetic device, a fusible link or a smoke detector.
