Classification
The exchanger installed in the ion exchanger is at a fixed position during the exchange process. This type of ion exchanger is called a fixed bed, and the exchange treatment of raw water and regeneration after resin failure are carried out in the same exchanger at different times. The fixed bed ion exchanger can be divided into single bed, double bed and mixed bed according to the type of resin in the exchanger. The one filled with a single resin is a single bed; the one filled with strong and weak resins is a double bed; the one filled with anion and yang resins is a mixed bed. In general, a fixed bed refers to a single bed with a fixed bed.
The continuous bed ion exchanger is an exchanger in which the ion exchange resin runs dynamically, and the exchange treatment of raw water and the regeneration after resin failure are carried out simultaneously in different devices.

Operating parameters
①. Working method: pressure type;
②. Operation mode: water flow from top to bottom, series (high iron and manganese content) or parallel;
③. Filtration speed: 6-10m/h (when removing iron), 5-8m/h (when removing manganese);
④. Operating cycle: depending on the quality of the raw water, the minimum is not less than 8 hours;
⑤. Backwashing method: water washing, or air-water combined backwashing;
⑥. Backwash time: 10-15min;
⑦. Water consumption for backwashing: 1-3%;
⑧. Backwash intensity: 15-20L/s•m2.
