Tap Water Disinfection Electro Chlorination System
Sodium Hypochlorite Generator For Waste water treatment
Introduction:
Sodium hypochlorite disinfection offers significant advantages over chlorine gas, particularly in safety and convenience. Its liquid form at lower concentrations reduces risks associated with toxic gas leaks and transportation challenges inherent in chlorine gas use. On-site generation using salt, water, and electricity further enhances its appeal as a safer and efficient water treatment solution.
Process Flow:
The traditional sodium hypochlorite generator operates through several key steps:
- Softening of Tap Water: Initially, tap water is softened to remove calcium and magnesium ions.
- Brine Preparation: A portion of the softened water is used to dilute the generator’s inlet water. The remaining water is directed to a tank where refined salt is dissolved to form a 25% saturated brine.
- Mixing and Metering: The brine is accurately mixed with the diluted water using a metering pump.
- Electrolysis: The brine-water mixture undergoes electrolysis at the power plant. Chlorine is generated at the anode, while sodium hydroxide and hydrogen are produced at the cathode.
- Reaction and Production: These components react to produce sodium hypochlorite solution, which is the desired disinfectant product.
Main Features:
-
Raw Materials: Utilizes only salt or seawater, which are safe and convenient for transportation and storage, without volatility or toxicity concerns.
-
Electrode Connection: Employs a bipolar electrode connection mode, minimizing heat generation and reducing sodium hypochlorite salt and power consumption.
-
Efficiency Standards:
- Salt consumption < 3.5kg / kg Cl2 (National standard 4.5)
- Power consumption < 4kw / kg Cl2 (National standard 5)
-
Control System: Equipped with Siemens PLC and touch screen for full automatic control, ensuring operational precision and ease of use.
-
Longevity: Extended lifespan of critical components:
- Cathode life > 20 years
- Machine life > 15 years
These features collectively make sodium hypochlorite disinfection a robust choice for water treatment facilities seeking effective, safe, and sustainable disinfection solutions.
