Stainless Steel Pilots Nylon Reinforcement Diaphragm Ductile Iron Surge anticipating Valve Anti Water Hammer

    A2A5 is a surge anticipation valve and is activated by line pressure and controlled by two pilot valves. Both pilots include spring-loaded membranes. The low-pressure pilot is preset to open the A2A5 gradually when the line pressure drops about 1 bar below normal. The highpressure pilot (on the right) is preset to open the A2A5 when the line pressure rises about 1 bar above normal. The A2A5 is normally closed. Only when the line pressure drops below or rises above the preset limits, the A2A5 is piloted to open. A water hammer event starts with a considerable pressure drop, which cause the A2A5 to open. Then, as the
water wave rolling backward, the valve remains open and let the pressure out to diminish its impact.
