The body of a valve is of the straightway type and when the gate is fully open, a waterway diameter equal the inside diameter of a mating pipe
The body and bonnet of a valve shall be made of materials having strength, rigidity, and resistance to corrosion.
OS&Y gate valve are used indoors or in outdoors pits and NRS valves are used with wall indicator posts or underground with tee-handle wrenches or indicator posts attached or as roadway box valves
