Water Tank Truck Overview
The water tank truck, interchangeably termed as sprinkler, water tanker, sprayer, or street washer, is a specialized engineering vehicle. Its applications are diverse, primarily employed for street cleaning, landscaping irrigation, building washing, and firefighting. Beyond these, it also performs functions like road flushing, dust control, and surface cooling.
Functional Features
Each water tank truck is equipped with a dedicated fire interface, enabling it to serve as a temporary emergency fire sprinkler. The vehicle's engine powers a gearbox, which, via a power take-off (PTO) installed on it, drives the sprinkler pump. This pump generates the main force to propel the liquid from the tank through the pipe network.
The truck's self-priming height is ≤7 meters. Its sprinkler width reaches ≥20 meters, with a maximum spray range of ≥28 meters. The spray can be adjusted into a columnar shape (range ≥28 meters) or a mist shape (range ≥5 meters). The design typically features front spraying and rear sprinkling functions. The front is equipped with a duck-shaped nozzle or a round-headed flushing nozzle, while the rear has a cylindrical sprinkler nozzle or a shower nozzle. A working platform at the rear is fitted with a high-pressure water cannon. Additionally, the rear can optionally be equipped with 8 nozzles.
Pipeline System
The pipeline system comprises pipes, four-position three-way ball valves, straight-through ball valves, filters, and water outlets. The water outlets include front flushing, rear sprinkling, and side spraying functions. It also features high-position side sprinklers and a rear working platform with a greening sprinkler cannon.
Cab Types
The cab of a water tank truck comes in two main types: pointed cab (long-head cab) and flat cab (short-head cab). Primarily used for street washing, dust removal, and cooling, the truck allows adjustment of the sprinkler nozzle's thread to change the spraying direction and angle. The cannon can be utilized for urban and rural landscaping as well as emergency firefighting. Meanwhile, the shower head is designed to irrigate the dust collected by the sprinkler in the middle of the road, helping to cleanse the air.
