CA6DM Engine
FAW's big bore 11 liter CA6DM series electronically controlled direct injected engines are available in 350, 370, 390 and 420 horsepower ratings, with torque ratings from 1,550 to 1,900 N.m.
For a majority of heavy truck operations, the size and capabilities of our 11 liter engine offers the perfect balance of low end torque, high horsepower, fuel efficiency, weight and cost. Taking advantage of the latest developments in materials and components, CA6DM series engines deliver maximum productivity, reliability and performance in both on-highway and vocational operations. The integrated cylinder head features 4-valve technology and an overhead camshaft. A composite valve cover reduces weight and engine noise. The engine's sophisticated high pressure common rail fuel system and low friction design deliver excellent throttle response with low fuel consumption. With four available engine ratings, CA6DM engines can be precisely matched to customer requirements for greater efficiency.
