1. Verify your car won't start due to a dead battery (if engine cranks or accessories work, battery may be fine)
2. Find a running vehicle to provide the jump start
3. Position vehicles so batteries are adjacent and turn off the booster car
4. Attach red cable to positive terminal (+) on dead battery, then to booster battery's positive terminal
5. Attach black cable to booster battery's negative terminal (-), then to engine ground on dead car
6. Start booster car and rev engine, then attempt to start dead car
7. Once started, disconnect cables in reverse order (negative first)
8. Keep jumped car running for at least 20 minutes to recharge battery
