1. Confirm your car won't start due to a dead battery (if engine cranks, problem isn't the battery)
2. Find a running car to provide a jump start
3. Park both vehicles with batteries adjacent and turn off the booster car
4. Attach red cable to positive terminal on dead battery (marked + or slightly larger terminal)
5. Attach other end of red cable to booster battery's positive terminal
6. Attach black cable to booster battery's negative terminal
7. Attach other end of black cable to solid metal ground on dead car's engine
8. Start booster car and rev the engine
9. Attempt to start dead car (check connections if it doesn't start)
10. Once started, disconnect cables in reverse order: Negative, negative, positive, positive
11. Keep jumped car running for at least 20 minutes to recharge battery
