1. Verify the battery is dead (no sound/slow crank when turning key)
2. Find a running vehicle to provide the jump
3. Position vehicles so batteries are adjacent
4. Turn off the booster vehicle
5. Attach red cable to dead battery's positive terminal
6. Attach other red end to booster battery's positive terminal
7. Attach black cable to booster battery's negative terminal
8. Attach other black end to engine ground on dead vehicle
9. Start booster vehicle and rev engine
10. Attempt to start dead vehicle
11. If unsuccessful, check all connections
12. Once started, disconnect cables in reverse order
13. Run jumped vehicle for at least 20 minutes to recharge battery
