1. Verify vehicle won't start due to dead battery (no sound or slow cranking)
2. Locate running vehicle to provide jump start power
3. Position vehicles so batteries are adjacent and turn off booster vehicle
4. Attach red cable to positive (+) terminal on dead battery
5. Connect other red end to booster battery's positive terminal
6. Attach black cable to booster battery's negative terminal
7. Connect other black end to solid metal ground on dead vehicle's engine
8. Start booster vehicle and rev the engine slightly
9. Attempt to start the dead vehicle
10. Once started, disconnect cables in reverse order
11. Keep jumped vehicle running for at least 20 minutes to recharge battery
