1. Ensure both vehicles are turned off completely
2. Connect red cable to positive (+) post of dead battery
3. Connect other end of red cable to positive post of working battery
4. Connect black cable to negative (-) post of working battery
5. Connect other end of black cable to metal point on non-working vehicle away from battery
6. Start the working vehicle and let it run for 1-2 minutes
7. Start the disabled vehicle and let it run for several minutes to recharge battery
8. Disconnect cables in reverse order from connection sequence
